Would you like to challenge yourself, have fun and meet new people whilst transforming the lives of homeless women and children in Cork?
Taking part in a fundraising challenge or hosting a fundraising event is great fun and a great way to support our work and with homeless women and children here in Cork both financially and by helping us to spread awareness of our work and the issues facing homeless women and children in Cork today.
There are many ways you can support us, no event is too small, no marathon too long! Here are some ideas that might inspire you to get involved:

Marathons and running events are very popular.
The Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on September 25th 2016. (www.eveningecho.ie/minimarathon)
Cork City Marathon (www.corkcitymarathon.ie) takes place in June every year.
Perhaps you would prefer something more extreme? You can undertake a charity Skydive with Skydive Ireland by registering here: www.skydiveireland.ie/#!skydive-charity/c14cb
Maybe you have a mountain you have always wanted to climb, a walk or cycle, or a sporting challenge in your local GAA or soccer club or with your darts or pool team?
Whatever your challenge, you can set up your own personal fundraising page for Good Shepherd Cork on JustGiving (www.justgiving.com/goodshepherd-cork) and share this through facebook, twitter and by email to raise sponsorship.
Let us know you are taking on a challenge to raise funds for us and we will help support you through our social media channels and with T Shirts and sponsorship cards.
You can download a guide and information about organising a challenge here: (PDF download).
We will be delighted to hear from you!

Sporting challenges are not for everyone, but there are many other ways you could raise much needed funds for homeless women and children in Cork.
Are you a keen baker? How about organising a Bake Off and Bake Sale at work, or in your local club. Do you have a regular group who meet for coffee or drinks? Maybe make one of your meetings a fundraising event.
Perhaps you are part of a club or society or a committee at work and could hold an event in aid of our work, or nominate us to be your designated charity.
How about an event in your local community hall, club or bar? Live music, quizzes, raffles, spot prizes, fancy dress competitions, dance tournaments, sports days or sponsored head shaves are all popular and fun ways to socialise and raise money at the same time!
No event is too small and every cent raised is invaluable to our work with homeless women and children in Cork.
